Arts and Craft Show Scheduled Saturday May 19 – Bigger and Better This Year!

ArtsWave (the Greater Cincinnati’s region local arts agency and the nations first and largest community campaign for the arts) accepted a proposal written by Lois Smith and awarded $2000 for the third annual and Craft Show at the Hartwell Recreation Center in May. The money will be used to provide family entertainment at the event.

The very lively Cajun Band Lagniappe and the Space Painter Tom Sparough are scheduled to perform at the event. Make sure you set aside the afternoon of May 19 – these people are certainly worth seeing!

For the third straight year Hartwell Elementary Teacher Chik Fung’s student’s will show their art inside the Hartwell Recreation Center. It is always a pleasure to see their talented work.

There will be hands-on crafts – the Harwell Recreation Commission will sponsor a tie dying t-shirt craft. Laurie and Frank Steele will be on hand to paint children’s faces. There will also be a Bounce House for children’s entertainment.

Of course, there will also be arts and crafts booths with vendors selling their wares. Thanks to Jan Ober of the Hartwell Recreation Center for her work in procuring them.

The Hartwell Arts and Crafts Show is sponsored by the Cincinnati Recreation Center, the Hartwell Improvement Association, Artswave, the Hartwell Elementary School, and the Friends of Hartwell.

Plan to come for lunch – there will be food trucks selling their delicious wares.

More information will be coming in the May Hartwell Update.
