Hartwell is a small, diverse, and convenient neighborhood within the City of Cincinnati. We have easy access to several parks and recreation centers, excellent schools, and wonderful residents. Education and Learning

Public Libraries of Cincinnati and Hamilton County

Hartwell residents have access to resources from all 30+ branches of the Cincinnati Public Library, three of which are located in nearby Wyoming, Elmwood Place, and Reading. Students can access hundreds of journals and texts online, while parents can check out audio books and videos with the click of a mouse.

Recreation and Entertainment

The Hartwell area offers a family-friendly neighborhood with a convenient drive to events and dining in both West Chester and Downtown Cincinnati.  You can learn more about neighborhood restaurants in our Business Directory, but we have plenty of homegrown recreation and community activities as well. Caldwell Nature Center and Sprayground

The Caldwell Nature Center includes more than 3.5 miles of trails, unique wildlife, and a small amphitheater. Just down the street you can find the “sprayground,” an outdoor playspace with water fountains and sprinklers for children.

Centennial Barn

A great community space providing adult education on personal and spiritual growth, music performances, art exhibitions, community events and large event or conference hosting.

Home to the Hamilton County fair, a 150-year old tradition.

Hartwell Recreation Center Complex

With a community pool, fitness classes, and community group meetings, the Hartwell Recreation Center is a great place to get fit and get involved.

Hartwell Golf Club

The Hartwell Golf Club offers a newly renovated Pro-Shop, unlimited golf for members, and free golfing for children under 10.

Hartwell Playgrounds and Parks

In addition to the several city parks in the area, there are small local playgrounds all throughout our neighborhood.
